The day count is only part of the choice. A Lhasa stay, a Nyingchi circuit and an overland journey from Chengdu involve different places and different amounts of road travel. Start with the experience you want and compare the daily route.

Would you prefer to stay around Lhasa?
Our four-day Lhasa route provides a short introduction centred on the city. The five-day collection includes both Lhasa-focused options and a route with Yamdrok Lake. Look at the actual places included: two journeys of the same length can feel quite different.
What do the six- and seven-day routes add?
The collection includes options towards Shigatse, lake journeys and central Tibet routes through Gyantse. Choose the places that interest you, then compare the overnight stops and road-travel days. More days do not automatically mean a slower trip if the route also goes farther.
How is a Nyingchi route different?
Our eastern Tibet itineraries focus on forests, lakes and mountain scenery around Nyingchi, Lulang and beyond. The five-day lake and glacier circuit returns to Lhasa and includes long travel stages. It should be assessed as a road journey, rather than assumed to be a short city break.
Is the G318 journey the same as a tour from Lhasa?
No. Our G318 journeys begin in Chengdu and finish in Lhasa, travelling through a wider road corridor. A map of the entire G318 corridor shows more places than any one itinerary visits. Use the product’s daily plan to identify its actual stops.
